دورة تدريبية مشتركة بين الكتيبة الهندية الجيش اللبناني


قامت قوات اليونيفيل في القطاع الشرقي في الآونة الأخيرة, كجزء من التعاون المستمر مع شريكها الاستراتيجي الجيش اللبناني ، بسلسلة من الدورات التدريبية المنسقة مع عناصر الجيش اللبناني بهدف تبادل الخبرات وتوفير بيئة متماسكة للعمل المشترك.

أجرت الكتيبة الهندية نيابة عن قوات اليونيفيل في القطاع الشرقي "تمرين الرماية" كفرصة عظيمة لتعزيز مهارات الجنود وكذلك التنسيق مع الجيش اللبناني, حيث تم تدريب المشاركين على المهارات الميدانية ، والتكيف مع طبيعة الأرض وكذلك الرماية المسبقة.

كما شاركت قوات حفظ السلام في اليونيفيل من كتائب القطاع الشرقي الأخرى ، إسبانيا, إندونيسيا والنيبال ، في التدريبات الأخيرة مع عناصر الجيش اللبناني في القاعدة العسكرية التابعة للكتيبة الهندية في إبل السقي ، جنوب شرق لبنان .

تكمن الدورات التدريبية المنسقة بين قوات اليونيفيل والجيش اللبنانيي في صميم تنفيذ قرار مجلس الأمن رقم 1701 ، الذي يشكل جوهر مهمة هذه القوات.

و هذا في صدد تعزيز قدرات الجيش اللبناني و التبادلات العسكرية ، وتحسين التنسيق المتبادل ، كذلك القدرات التشغيلية للقوتين. في عام 2019 وحده ، كان عدد هذه الأنشطة في كل من البر والبحر 1800 بزيادة عن أكثر من 1500 نشاط في عام 2018

نقل المسؤوليات تدريجياً إلى الجيش اللبنانيي هو هدف قوات اليونيفيل الطويل الأمد , بحيث يتولى الجيش السيطرة الأمنية الكاملة والفعالة على منطقة عمليات اليونيفيل التي تبلغ مساحتها 1060 كيلومتراً مربعاً و كذلك المياه الإقليمية اللبنانية.


UNIFIL INDIAN BATTALION AND LAF CONDUCTED COORDINATED TRAINING

1. As part of UNIFIL’s ongoing cooperation with its strategic partner, the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), UNIFIL Sector east has recently conducted a series of coordinated training with LAF personnel to exchange expertise and enhance cohesive inter-operability environment.

2. Indian Battalion on behalf of UNIFIL Sector east conducted ‘Marksmanship exercise’ and found it to be a great opportunity to enhance Marksmanship Skills as well as Coordination with LAF. In the process, the participants were trained in fieldcraft skills, terrain utilization as well as advance marksmanship.

3. UNIFIL peacekeepers from sector east’s other battalions, Spain, Indonesia and Nepal also took part in the latest training exercise with LAF personnel at UNP 4-2 of Indian peacekeepers in Ebel el Saqi, south-eastern Lebanon.

4. Coordinated trainings and exercises between UNIFIL and LAF lie at the core of the implementation of the UN Security Council resolution 1701, which forms the core of UNIFIL’s mandate.

5. This stipulates strengthening LAF capacities, improving mutual coordination, and enhancing military exchanges and operational capabilities of both forces. In 2019 alone, the number of such activities in both land and sea was 1,800, up from more than 1,500 in 2018.

6. UNIFIL’s long-term objective is to gradually transfer responsibilities to the LAF so that it assumes full and effective security control over UNIFIL’s 1,060 square kilometer area of operations and the Lebanese territorial waters.
