إفتتح نائب قائد الكتيبة الإندونيسية في القطاع الشرقي محمد تمامي، مشروع "أضواء للشوارع" في بلدة دير سريان ومشروع "حائط دعم" في بلدة القصير، في حضور ممثلين عن الجيش، رئيس بلدية دير سريان احمد لوباني والاعضاء.

ونوه كل من رئيس البلدية ونائب قائد الكتيبة الإندونيسية، بالتفاهم المتبادل والتعاون بين أفراد "اليونيفيل" والسكان المحليين.

هذا، ووصلت كلفة مشروع "أضواء الشوارع" إلى 15 الف دولار تقريبا، وهو عبارة عن تركيب 65 ضوءLED بقدرة 50 واطا على قاعدة معدنية مناسبة، اضافة إلى مجموعتين من المفاتيح الكهربائية الأوتوماتيكية و2200 متر من كابلات الألمنيوم.

وسيعود هذا المشروع بالإفادة على 2300 شخص من سكان بلدة دير سريان. كما يهدف إلى تسهيل حركة التنقل أثناء الليل، خصوصا لأن السكان يعانون من وجود بعض الحيوانات الشاردة والحشرات على الطرقات. كما أن دوريات الجيش واليونيفيل تصادف صعوبات في الحفاظ على الأمن في هذه المنطقة بسبب سوء الرؤية.

أما تكلفة مشروع "حائط الدعم" في بلدة القصير، فقد وصلت إلى 9,953$ وبني من الإسمنت بطول 32 مترا وإرتفاع 1,5 مترا، لحماية الأطفال والمسنين من المنحدرات ولمنع الحيوانات من عبور الطرقات والحماية من إنجراف التربة.

بدوره، شكر رئيس البلدية لليونيفيل تنفيذ هذا المشروع، وقال: "نعتمد على حس الإنسانية لديكم، ونطلب مزيدا من التعاون في المستقبل لمصلحة أهلنا الشرفاء، لتحسين ظروفهم المعيشية وتقديم الحاجات الأساسية".

UNIFIL’S SECEAST PROJECT PROVIDED STREET LIGHTS TO DEIR SIRIANE AND RETENTION WALL TO AL QUSAYR

UNIFIL’S Sector East Indonesian Battalion’s officiating commander inaugurated project “STREET LIGHTS” in Deir Sirian and “RETENTION WALL” in Al Qusayr on this day in the presence of guests Mayor of the village Deir Sirian , municipality members, Lebanese Armed Forces representatives and local authorities.

2. Guests were warmly welcomed by the Mayor of the village followed by playing of anthems. Both Mayor and Commander were appreciating the mutual understanding and collaboration among UNIFIL personals and Locals.

3. In this project “Street lights” costing 15,165 $ there are the installation of 65 sets of 50 watts, LED street light and suitable metallic light set arm,2 sets of automatic switches,2200m of aluminium power cable. This project will benefit directly to more than 2300 inhabitants of the village of Deir Siriane with the aim of solving the problem when commuting during night time for family and sick people’s visits, people experience anxiety due to the existence of stray dogs and other dangerous animals and insects. Also, the LAF and UNIFIL patrols have difficulties maintaining security in the area with bad visibility.

4. Project “Retention Wall” costing 9,953 $ in Al Qusayr was in especial need at slopes in order to protect children and elderly people as well as cars from falling down. The wall on the road leading to the village is of cemetery size about 32 m long, 1.5 m high. The wall prevent animals from accessing the village roads. The wall also protect the roads from soil erosion from adjacent agricultural land.

5. The Mayor expressed his gratitude for the project. In his lecture, he said, “we count on the sense of humanity that they have and we request them to continue this cooperation in the future for the benefit of our honourable people and improve their living conditions and provide us the necessary aid in order to achieve some of the required projects, we look forward to cooperate in the near future”.
